As a securities lawyer, she has extensive experience in transactional work and regulatory and compliance matters within the financial services industry. Having worked in the securities industry as a floor trader and brokerage executive, Ms. de Silva possesses a practical and deeply informed perspective on the complexities of financial markets, setting her apart from most securities lawyers.

Her clients include trading groups, brokerages, hedge funds, brokers, and exchange directors.
She has worked with law firms across the country on pre-indictment and white-collar defense cases involving the financial markets, leveraging her expertise to guide individuals and entities facing investigations and post-indictment proceedings. Ms. de Silva has also represented clients in civil rights and Constitutional law cases in Federal Court.
She has discreetly represented elected officials, public figures, and other high-profile clients and has taken on powerful state and political entities in her practice.
Ms. de Silva is licensed in the Northern District of Illinois, is a member of the Federal Trial Bar and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
